some shawl progress... i was nervous about the nupps (the little buttons-like bobbles, a hallmark of Estonian lace knitting), but they are fun.

    This is so beautiful. It reminds me of sea foam, or the faint, net-like residue that remains after the foam bubbles have popped.

    thanks! folks on ravelry have said how ugly these patterns look until they are blocked, but i kinda love it as-is too!
